About us

The Simon Liron Foundation was founded in January of 2021 by the Executive Director, Stella Fonkeng Forbi. The Simon Liron Foundation is not your average organization, and we go above and beyond to serve the children in our community who have developmental disabilities and/or autism. We aim to break families free from the burden of not being able to provide the proper care their disabled children need. The desire to begin this foundation was birthed from our founders’ own experience in having a child with disabilities. Stella Fonkeng Forbi is experienced and knows how difficult it is for families back in Cameroon, Africa, to afford care.

With the Simon Liron Foundation, we aim to create an alternative for those families that feel hindered and helpless; and change the world view on disabilities one child at a time. We began in Kumba and have grown exponentially into the cities of Buea, Limbe, Tiko, and Mutengene in South West, Cameroon. We provide this service which is at its maximum capacity serving children from the age of three to seventeen years old.

Our organization also focuses on providing ongoing enrollment as we know it is an essential need in our community. The mission of the Simon Liron Foundation is to provide high-quality support services to children mental disability and their families of the Cameroon community.

The Simon Liron Foundations’ focus is to provide a lifelong  services such as food, medications, medical equipments, and financial support to the children and their families starting with five cities and eventually expanding to every city in Cameroon. In response to the needs of its city, The Simon Liron Foundation has set itself to be the solution that families need. We also measure our success rate by the number of families we can serve every month since it is constantly growing. We seek to empower all those we support and their families.

Every family we aid remains at the heart of our purpose and reminds us of why we began this journey in the first place. We provide a range of services through various volunteers with commitment and passion. These programs are essential to our city because no one is offering them. It is essential we obtain the funding to continue supplying families with the things they so desperately need as no one knows the need of these people more than our founder.
